SUMMARY:Tai Chi Classes
DESCRIPTION:Tai Chi classes at the SCVFA clubhouse every Wednesday (5:30-7pm) and Saturday (11am-12:30pm).\nPromoting a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Although the curriculum is extensive\, everyone learns at a pace that is comfortable for them. There is a saying in Tai Chi – “Slow learning is quick progress\, fast learning is slow progress”. A strong emphasis is placed on feeling and understanding the principles or concepts of Tai Chi through supplementary exercises and interactive partner work. Absorbing the concepts deepens the practice of the tai chi form\, which enhances one’s strength and health benefits. \nA typical class will involve: \nStanding meditative postures \nExercises to improve strength\, suppleness\, and balance (chi gung and nei gung routines) \nPractice of the tai chi forms \nInteractive partner drills
